The sailing yacht Victoria 43.44 meters, is now jointly listed for sale with SuperYachtsMonaco and Fraser, has been sold now. It is purchased by Torrance Yachts who was introduced by Tassos Papantoniou.


The yacht has been built by the Italian yard Perini Navi to ABS class who are legendary in their work. Victoria was delivered to it’s that time owner in the year 2004 and this was the first yacht built in the yard, which was made of all-aluminium with lines by Ron Holland. They went into the process of refitting in year 2012, and the special features of the yacht include a bigger size sunken aft cockpit for alfresco entertaining and dining, and a huge fly-bridge.

A cool and elegant interior made by Cristiano Gatto which uses sycamore joinery and contemporary walnut, accompanied by timeless furnishings and the leather accents. The cruise can accommodate ten numbers of guests in a master suite, two twin berth cabins and two VIP cabins. (more…)

The Swiss team “Tilt” managed to enter into the finals of the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup.


The qualifying rounds were intense and the team reached the final round in the fourth place. The final battle for Red Bull Youth America’s Cup title will start on 20th June at the Great Sound, Bermuda.

The Group A teams had tough competition and team Tilt is only two points behind France, which entered the final with third place. Tilt was followed by Denmark who took the fifth place with two points less than Tilt. Team leader SebastienSchneiter did his best to keep off the Denmark team getting a winning finish.

The teams in group A qualified for the finals include Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and France. The teams in group B qualified for the final run for the title are New Zealand, UK, Spain, and Bermuda. (more…)

In the last year’s championship of EFG Sailing Arabia -Team Al Mouj from Muscat were the fresh face in the event.


They made entry with a sight to win the tour and they did so. The year 2017 EFG Sailing Arabia will again have the participation of this strong team but with some new faces. This time too, the team Al Mouj is highly motivated and ready to create winning history.

EFG Sailing Arabia of 2017 is going to be a mix of inshore and offshore racing. And this year too, the tour will witness the participation of top-class sailors. Back to the Gulf race track says, who brings his match racing skills to the Team Al Mouj campaign.

Ponthieu who has groomed Team Al Mouj spoke about the event and said “Presently, there is only one tour in the sailing calendar where sailor could test their offshore as well as racing skill.” (more…)

World sailing that is the governing body of sailing worldwide and GAC Pindar, the renowned event logistics and marine provider has come close.


Both have signed a memorandum of understanding for long term partnership. The partnership of both will go till 31 December 2020 and according to the memorandum, GAC will provide exclusive marine logistics to World sailing. The announcement was made at Barcelona, Spain, where World Sailing annual conference was going on.

GAC and Word sailing will work in close collaboration to reduce the cost involve in the logistic of sailing and also any adverse effect that will impact nature. GAC will also play major role in the reinstatement of sailing sports in Paralympic. In its effort, it will try to transform equipment used in Paralympic and made it with the new standard.

At the meeting GAC Pindar representative highlighted many points on which world sailing and GAC Pindar can work in partnership and come out with productive results. (more…)

The Southern Yacht Club, overlooking Lake Pontchartrain, founded in the year 1849, has been inherent to the world of sailing. The club arranged a fundraiser on 5th March, Saturday, gaining their junior program, assuring a next generation of sailing devotees.

Over two-hundred-seventy-five people attended the event, including event co-chairs Katy Lovell and Kelly Alfortish, who has tied the knot to John Lovell, a 4 time Olympic challenger in sailing, and in the year 2004, he won the silver medal with Charlie Ogletree in Tornado class.

Among the gala magnets was music by Rockin’ Dopsie and the Zydeco Twisters, silent and live auctions and cuisine prepared by chef Kevin Vizard.

Meanwhile, the Perini Navi has successfully introduced sailing yacht Dahlak after her mast stepping operation previous week. After the 51.40 meter carbon fibre mast – blended with a 14 meter furling boom as well as composite standing rigging for a sail plan surface region which exceeds 1870 square meter joined the hull previous week, then Dahlak was launched on 5th March.

With hull lines handed by Philippe Briand and made wholly on site at Perini Navi Group’s Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia, the brand new sloop takes her name from Red Sea ground where her owner sailed as a boy.

Made for easy and fast sailing, the yacht is made of Sealium aluminium alloy and it boasts many technical inventions that exemplify Perini Navi’s commitment to offering owners with the newest technology which enhances sail handling, performance, as well as onboard comfort, including electric captive winches masterminded in-house as well as a Lithium polymer battery arrangement for silent running.
